Exactly like Eugene Laverty (Eurosport call him a great Britsh rider even when he's waving a tricolour). It would be easier if everyone left nationalites out of sport for anything other than the olympics/ world cup etc.

Hope he goes on to win if he does it would truly be remarkable that the US Open would be won by 2 golfers from the same small area of Ireland for 2 years in a row.
