Joining? I dunno. I would join with good intentions now but not sure i'd keep it up, i know me. I'll have to get back to ya when i'm not on the jameson :d
.
Who reads? Who wants to do a book club? Review corner? Join me in the joys of print? We need at least ten to make it worthwhile, and you have to read one book per month and review it. Who is up for it?
Lucy I thinks its very brave for someone with a learning disability (like yourself) to start a book club. I suggest you start with this book first.
It might be tough for you at first but when you come over to Ireland next I'll help read it to you.
OK - I think we have had enough fun at Lucy's expense.
Lucy - I think this is a great idea (and thank you). I love to read - would again suggest 'Times Arrow' by Martin Amis as a starter. Clever conceit and really well written.

hd.
Will do; glad to hear Amis is back on his game. Read some of hisworks back in 90's, and thought he was just like his father, a genius.
I used to be an avid reader. But the last few years I just can't get into a book.
I'd love to join up, but I'm looking at the last book I tried to read and I've not managed more than 3 or 4 pages in one sitting. It would probably take me a month to read a book !
I used to read for hours
I'm the same when it comes to rreading fiction-I don't have the patience, but I've no problem reading non-fiction. I guess I'm only interested in facts.

still no harm in joining? if you don't finish your book, I'm sure it'd be no biggie
