I've thought about this. I'm the sort of person who thinks about everything in advance. Like what to do if you meet someone from work on the way to a punt, which was useful when that did indeed happen to me. So far I haven't been present for a raid, but I'm more or less prepared. There is nothing illegal about paying for sex, but I think it's better not to admit to having done so, for several reasons. If it turns out there are or were other ladies working there I could be called as a witness, which I would prefer to avoid. I know in my regular spot there have been cameras installed the owner told me 2 years ago and only 3 months ago there was a case and was printed in all the local papers about a French escort and her friend that were robed and assaulted by 2 local Travellers (fucken scumbags and I'm not just pointing the finger at Travellers ) it gave the number and adress of the apartment so everyone knows about it. There are more in the area I hope I'm not spilling the beans on the place I still go there I know it's a hot spot but the Garda are monitoring the area one of the girls I see reguraly told me she was stoped getting into a taxi by an undercover cop (which she know was watching the place, undercover my ass ) and she showed him a student card. So to get to the point I know if I'm caught I'm fucked in a lot of ways and I'm going to obvious places so why do I keep doing it well it's all part of the game but I've never seen a case of escort or punter being caught cos I bet you the cops are also punters, and if it ain't illagal why would they bother??? Just make sure your with a girl that's independent over 21 and enjoy the madness the pleasure the RISK!!!! cos all good things come to an end but now us not the end.

It's as simple as this. It is for the prosecution to prove the case, not for the defendant to prove his innocence.

In order to bring a case to court the prosecution needs to prove an offence took place.
Just because a man entered premises that is suspected as being run as a brothel is not proof enough.
A case would never proceed on this basis only, as evidence is required.
Unless they have cameras installed in the premises, or the client / escort admits the offence, then there would be insufficient evidence to bring a case to court.

As said before by other posters, just deny that any money changed hands, admit nothing, say nothing.
If they conduct a search of the premises and find sums of money, that has nothing to do with this situation as it does not prove that you paid for sex. Even if they threaten to examine notes for fingerprints, don't believe it as it is unlikely for such a minor offence.

Most prosecutions are only successful when they have an omission of guilt by one of the involved parties.
They will not bring a case to court on circumstantial evidence alone.
Just remember there is a good reason why the police/ Garda are intent to interview / question people.
So don't give them any opportunity. Request to see your solicitor before answering any of their questions.
