YES SON I AM!!! LOL now come here you little frog i have some stones for you
I agree Mer, except that Vincent Brown doesn't just bore me - he annoys the living daylights out of me. I change channels whenever he comes on.
He is a cantankerous old fart! He is never happy! He acts like he's a socialist when clearly his bread is buttered on the other side.

My contribution to this thread.
i think his intentions are good and he feels passionately about the topics...BUT he comes across as a blithering idiot because he loses his train of thought half way through a sentance..lol
i stopped wathching him because of this
its better to burn out than to fade away
I admire him - he was the only journalist who asked awkward questions of Bertie and Brian Cowen (that press conference is classic!). Enda is scared of him - remember the empty chair?
I think that the panels on his show are often, not always, way better than anything RTE offer.
As a bonus, Mario Rosenstocks's impersonations are hilarious.
Do I find his coughing, slightly distracted and overly outraged style a bit tired? Yes.
Is there a better alternative? Not in my opinion. RTE tried with a programme on rte2, can't remember the name it but it was the one where Dunphy (aka rent a mouthy knob) lost the head with a girl for being sexist, and it was pure sh*te,
And, for what it is worth I no longer watch the show. When you have genuine experts (e.g. Constantine Gordiyev sp? - to lazy to look it up but a TCD economics expert [again Mario Rosenstock captured him brilliantly!]) telling you night after night just how fu**ed we all are it gets a bit depressing.
But for insightful analysis of the economic mess we are in his show has been hugely important and tells a very different story to the 'official line' you hear on RTE.
If I see the likes of Maureen Gaffney, however, I soon change channel.
More media analysis tomorrow ...
