heard of a scam similar to this, when the 'cop'
has the victim at the height of anxiety, he arranges to meet
and a cash payment can 'sort out any paperwork'. i was curious on
this one, but realise we may hear no more about it, if it is a real issue.

hi guys ,just back form the garda station,im fine now, the story is like this, its about a rape to a escort last year,apprently,after she was raped,i rang her number which she didnt answer,and she rang me back ,we talked 20 seconds,which i totally have no memory about,the question the detective asked me is if she told me or not about the rape.he didnt ask about me seeing the escort or not,i was reliefed,thank god,end of story.they say the had the guy who did this ,hope the girl is alright,

Dont worrie 1 bit about it he should have given you the land line number of the station or a badge number i wouldnt loose sleep over it mate
