I'm Ebony Amber with a cropped face all over the internet anyway so personally don't see too big an issue with an Ebony Amber facebook page. The only reason I set it up was to like the TOTBL page as having the compaign on a social networking page will make a difference. I'm not going to be posting on my normal account of course.

Different story, I seen a man's business ruined last week on FB, over some sad person who had a grip against him. He's finished, this is the problem with FB.

What if someone was to link my normal account to this one?! Thats the thing with online communities and forums you could always get caught. However although some may argue the risk is higher I don't think so. There are no traces of my normal life on my EA facebook account, the email is different etc. I have in the past used social networking to attract business and know of a few media savvy escorts that still do.

My thing is I don't see EI posting everyones usernames onto facebook without there consent or anything and nobody is being forced to send their friends links to the EI facebook page so I personally see the reactions as a little ott.

Yep, as long you are not using a real profile or real email addresses on FB or E-I and there is no way to link the 2 profiles, for those that have 2 FB profiles, there shouldn't be a problem

Lauren and Rebeka expressed a concern that E-I will be more accessible and therefore their privacy is more at risk, because of the popularity of Facebook worldwide. Even though the site is public anyway.

FB is too open, too many ways of getting linked and caught. I like to keep it hush hush.

Well I do have a real facebook account. But I still don't understand (maybe I'm just naive as it were) but how can someone tracking my EA facebook accounts IP find out my real account? Is there someway of searching for people via IP address on facebook because I must have missed that option.

it's not an option on Facebook, every time you connect to the internet through your ISP, you connect using the same IP address.
if some russian hacker wants to they could trace it. :-)

The ordinary non-IT person on the street wouldn't know how to, but if someone out there wants to get you, they can. They need to know what they're doing though
