A friend of mine was bragging about his latest Fuck Buddy (what a fucking ghastly term... albeit apt).
I asked him if she was nice-looking. He said No.
I asked him if she was fun to be with. He said No.
I asked him if the shagging was out-of-this-world. He said No.
I asked him what the fuck he was doing with this girl.
He said: "She's the only one who'll shave my back after we have sex."

I don't know who I felt sorrier for. Oh, and a bit of twisted admiration.

FBs can be great, but I've never had one that has been free from any/all complications.
The most recent was incredibly attractive, horny, receptive... separated from her husband... used to call at my house wearing a pvc raincoat with nothing underneath etc. Absolutely game for anything.
After a couple of months she admitted that she was, in fact, *considering* separating from her husband.
No harm, but I don't do that kind of thing.
With fuckbuddies, there are always boundaries crying out to be crossed... and not always in a good way.
Or am I just being a big jessie?

Yeah..I've had fuck buddies but never really wanted them. I do however have non-fuck buddies that I love.....but it only happens when we are 'well gone!' Wouldn't happen otherwise due to our situations but we are always too 'well gone' for it to stop...and also too well gone to make it happen....

human nature is that it will develop into feelings, can't help it... so keep them short and sweet before anyone gets hurt is my advice... few months at most!

In my opinion, no. I like the girl I was with, but never enough to go out with. Sometimes we would go out, to pubs etc, but there wouuld always be screwing(yes, in the pub). I probaly led her on a bit, but I would always remind her that it was nothing serious.

She would agree, but I don't think she believed me. I felt bad for hurting her at first, but when things got seriously weird, I was happy I left and changed my number.

See that's the thing. Generally someone ends up hurt. There are of course people that it can work perfectly for but not everyone.

In that respect I feel women are a little better at the old self control. As much as I love regular sex I wouldn't have it just because it was offered to me. Where as in my opinion and experience a lot of men will take it just because it's offered.

Yep, women are way better at self control. Also more emotionally intelligent and tend to be able to handle things better. Unless of course you're off your meds.
