Anyway, she led into the main area of the apartment, where this awkward silence took over. I’m not the best at talking to girls, so this began to get a bit torturous. I have to say, it didn’t help that she had so little English.
I noticed a packet of Hobnobs on the kitchen table. Seeing as I was bereft of anything to say, I asked if I could have one. At this point I did contemplate leaving: I reckon she sensed this, as a can of Prazky was offered and weakly accepted.
When my 30 minutes were up she was very quick to let me know about it, and off I went – no doubt with a more than startled expression on my face. Oh well.
I guess I made a rookie mistake somewhere? Perhaps I’m just not cut out for this punting business.
Trousers, you certainly made plenty of "Rookie" mistakes. If you're going to take the plunge without looking for advice then I'm afraid you're going to have experiences like this.
You should have gone to see one of the more established escorts i.e. someone with plenty of reviews. This girl you saw was probably as nervous as you were and wondering if you were a timewaster or weirdo - asking for hobnobs and a prazky! Rule number one, if you only book for 30 mins, skip the biscuits next time.
All the more established escorts know their trade and would have picked up on your nervousness and put you at ease. Also any girl with plenty of reviews can converse well in English.
As for being asked for payment up front...what do you expect!!! This is a business arrangement and the lady has to know that your not going to cheat her after sitting around for 15 mintues only discover that you didn't bring the money! I pass the money over in an envelope the minute I've been shown into the room. And I always clarify how long I want to stay and ask her to check that i've handed over the right amount.
Same goes for time. If you pay for 30 minutes that's all you're getting. This isn't a charity. Time is money for the girls. If she doesn't tell you your time's up, you might forget yourself and stay forever. I keep time myself and to date have never had to be told my time is up.
Anyway. if you want to wear the trousers (and are a genuine poster) then take head of advice. There's a lot of good advice available on this forum.
