You're totally right Violette, at the end of the day we are each others only land border and the UK is Ireland's largest trading partner and we are their fifth largest. Both countries are linked in every way possible.

Monster I think it is going to be bigger that just being uneasy bed fellows, deciding to play nice. Look at the current economic situation in Ireland, for all intents they are the bitch of the IMF, in an economic shambles, the euro is failing. So, it would make sense for them to get in with their nearest neighbour, and fast.
