    Look, TOBL is a doomed campaign. Be realistic, no mainstream political party in this country is going to come out in favour of legalising prostitution because it's electoral suicide. Maybe in another 50 years, but not now. It just remains to be seen whether or not TORL can convince the government to criminalise us as punters.

    TOBL is a very noble effort by everyone who has spent their time on it but i agree with mousey it is doomed to fail as anyone who agrees with it is seen as someone who supports the trafficking of women to work in the sex trade.I personally think TORL will come in the not too distant future.

    somewhere between facilitate and organise. the girls, i have no doubt, make good money. but how many of them when they come over here could hot the ground running without someone giving them guidance. i genuinely believe that they know exactly what they are getting into, but there is definitely a network set up throughout the country that allows them to trade so easily. i wonder do they pay their own advertising too? ive visited alot of girls that dont have laptops so they would have to be very organised to keep their profile up to date here. it wouldn't surprise me if alot of the revenue on escort advertising sites comes directly from this shadowy network

    I know that, but if they are going to come up with some spurious facts then why not use them against them!!!

Gents we are literally been taken for a ride and a lot of our hard earned cash is moving quickly out of our country into murky waters and not independents escorts as we thought,
    rodeoman,i must say i was rather shocked myself to read this post from u;
    it makes me pmsl to read these words from you of all ppl!!!! as a man of the world, with so many reviews to his names, and a man who is not a saint himself, even on here, i find it extremely funny to see you say you are surprised by any of this

    From my limited experience there are 3 sources of accommodation that escorts use:

    1. Hotels/short term holiday apartments bookable via the internet.

    2. Apartments rented from those who are in the business of renting to escorts.

    3. Escorts renting to other escorts when they themselves are touring elsewhere.

    In the case of point 2, this may or may not indicate that these escorts are somehow controlled, but I have yet to come across an escort who was'nt independent and who kept all the takings minus expenses for herself.

    but there must be great money in expenses. ive heard of some girls being charged €100 a day for accom. not too much if you're busy, but great money if you're renting out an apartment (or maybe just a room in an apartment).
    its a far cry from the old pimp/hooker relationship, or the traffiking image that ruhama throw out there but there is definitely some sort of network set up for that allows these girls to come over and work. sure look at the language schools that were being set up, alowing women to get easy working visas. i don't know who is behind all this, or whether they are taking a cut of the girls incomes but there must be stack of money to be made on other things

    Sex workers should have a voice in society and TOBL is fighting for that. Yes it is is tough going, but so are many things that are worth fighting for.

    Also, TOBL is not only about the issue of clients being criminalised. TOBL is about sex workers rights. Yes TOBL is opposed to the criminalisation of clients, but that isn't the only thing of concern to TOBL, far from it.

    TOBL isn't doomed. It's just getting started.
