    Why can't an organisation like Ruhama (who undoubtedly have done some good work) just accept that there is no part of life which is simple black and white. When they indulge in such childish and ill-conceived propaganda it makes them look so silly...

    Its because they are so absolutist in their position it really undermines them. It does, unfortunately, smell of religious bigotry (is there any bigotry more irritating than that sort?)

    A major problem here, James old boy, is that like any other NGO they have to be seen to grow and develop and have some sort of coherent direction. Why not simply be an advocacy service for women who need actual support rather than adopting the blunderbuss approach??

    Thats what happens when you have your ethos handed to you by a conservative religion and you don't question anything....
