It makes a surprising amount of difference. Visiting the lovely ladies from here combines excercise and joy to round it all off

Also, the sleep thing: that would help, to get the right amount of sleep, but I find it hard to get over to sleep - generally about 3am before I can drop off, and when I'm in bed, it's hard to get myself up. I guess it's the one thing that I'm not able to improve in this whole scenario.
Mate, I have periodically suffered BRUTAL insomnia. Ya gotta maintain good sleep hygiene habits. Stay away from booze if you are havfing problems sleeping. Don't have lap top in bed. Don't put the light on and start reading (tempted as you might be). Have really rigid go to bed and get up times and don't deviate from it. And it won't last for ever, don't worry.
    Bada Bing!!!

I can't comment on the totalitarian implications of the profligate diagnosis of bi-polar disorder and the concurrent over prescription of anti-depressants to the lower strata socio-ecomonic demographic but I can say this much:

Having had depression and panic disorder I can attest that some counselling and applying cognitive behavioural therapy techniques does actually work.

I'm wary of a lone escort poster feeling like she is being ganged up on here so I intended the first two lines of my post light-heartedly.
Thanx, but I would be more concered if I went along iwith the prevailing views of the masses; and be trually fucked if I did, and since I did coin the phase ''You got to think outisde of the box'', I'll continue to practice what I preach

Such a close minded idiotic statement!! Sorry but it really is!!

Depression is not something that can just be forgotten or turned off!!!!!

It's something that requires time, medication and counselling!!!

hate this kind of attitude towards conditions like this!!!

Well said Kid. I haven't had depression myself, but a guy I worked with recently committed suicide because of it. Nobody knew what he was going through as he hadn't told anyone. Can't help thinking if he'd said something maybe we could have helped him and his family. Still kinda strange in work with 1 person not around. This condition should not be made light of in any way.

Funny that you mention Voltaire as I was greatly influenced by the book 'Candide', and so was Catherine the Great.-the horse lady

if you think you could be suffering with depression:

    go to GP-follow their directions.

find someone to talk to and share your worries.

have faith/hope that things will improve and you will cope.
