"Band" circumvents the composer label, limiting things a bit.

"Best' also is quite an ambiguous term.

Groundbreaking: The Beatles, Meshuggah, Metallica, RATM, QOTSA, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Dead Kennedys, Buddy Holly and The Crickets, Nirvana (although they built on the punk ethos), Little Richard (come on, a black guy in the 60's who wore make up....? How brave is that...?!?), Andres Segovia and John Williams (the guitarist), and Pink Floyd (the guts to pursue their own ambitions when it wasn't cool to do so),but the kings of all were Bach and Handel. Without them, music as we know it would not exist. Foo Fighters? Poor cousins of greater rock ideas. RHCP? Again, poor cousins of greater funk/punk minds.

Guilty pleasures: AC/DC, The Algorithm, Prodigy, Dire Straits, Strapping Young Lad, Aphex Twin, Front 242, etc.

    You get the idea.
Well Experiencedguy you hit a lot of my own faves there too, its so hard to mention everything but I'd have to add Alice in Chains, Screaming Trees, Smashing Pumpkins, Prince, Black Flag, Beck, Opeth, Crowded House, Faith No More, Black Sabbath, Frankie Valli, Chemical Brothers, Paul McCartney and Wings, Fleetwood Mac, Paul Brady, Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore, Horslips, Burt Bacharach, The Louvin Brothers etc. etc. etc.
    Bada Bing!!!

To be fair, I took my 7 year old nephew to his first concert (Busted) and Fightstar were supporting another of my faves, Coheed & Cambria (and weren't actually half bad, in all honesty).
Fightstar are a fine band imo. I would rather see a British band play that type of music than that shitty Arctic Monkeys/Franz Ferdinand/Kaiser Chiefs rubbish.

I punched him, does that count?

Nah, I'm afraid there was no 'Francoing' going on. I was standing at the back trying to look all cool. And failing.

Just not a fan of that "indie" rock genre. Even Oasis have only one good album imo. Whats The Story.....

Well we shall agree to disagree. I have ventured away from the typical new age indie bands of late but went through a big phase. Just got out of bed hair, ripped tights and lots of eyeliner. Hanging in Camden, drinking snakebites and perving on boys in skinny jeans.

Note to self- don't perv on boys whose jeans you can't fit into lol
