I absolutely love The Uplift Mofo Party Plan, Mother's Milk and Blood Sugar Sex Magik, but I always thought the Chili Peppers were a woeful live band despite their talents. They always played second fiddle to Faith No More for me - they were big rivals for a while before the Chilis became mega successful. Years later, Mike Patton of Faith No More was touring with his other band Mr. Bungle - and the Chilis had them kicked off a festival bill, just to show how powerful they were.
