My opinion on this is still the same. Either radical change like that suggested by JC (which EI wont do), or just scrap it.

The votes appear to favour an abolition of the TR status, so my below comments will have little effect,
but nonetheless I wish to express my reasons for becoming a TR and perhaps in time a solution.

Although I like some, desired to receive some recognition, my main reason for applying for a TR was due to a number of false/fake reviewers in the Belfast area. My hope was that there would be at least another two members that would become TR's shortly in Belfast, who would assist fellow clients to differentiate the false reviews to the genuine ones.

The TR system may not be perfect, but I for one am saddened and alarmed by the high number of escorts that view the TR status with such distain. There must be a sound reason for this, and this must be examined further at a later time.

So why did Samlad start this thread?
I'm sure he didn't start this on a whim, but did so with a sound and valid reason!
There must be more going on behind the scene than we know about, which cannot be discussed openly.

Unfortunately whether it is a TR or other member, some unscrupulous client may nonetheless try to influence an escort with the offer of a favourable review. With the importance placed on reviews, any reviewer and review is important.

May I therefore petition that once this thread is resolved, that a system be set in place where an escort could lodge a complaint regarding a member without fear of recrimination, whether that reviewer be an ordinary, established or a top reviewer!

I personally would like to see the TR system continued. I have found reviews by TR's very helpful. Obviously some are more helpful than others but that is probably due to similarities in personal preference.

I note the voting is going in favour of scraping the TR system. However, I would hope the a little more time is given before the whole system is thrown out. One of the strengths of this site is the review system inspite of all its problems. I think ways should be found around solving the problems associated with the TR badge rather than getting rid of it.

I fear we may be "throwing out the baby with the bath water!"

The next logical step if we follow this trend would be to get rid of reviews all together. To be honest, it that happens - i will stop using E-I to look for escorts.

    Yes there is.

This is the problem: it will not be discussed openly as long as the TR badge remains.

The simple fact is that, whatever benefits may be associated with the TR ego-fest nowithstanding, it is a real problem for escorts, a stick with which to beat them & should go.

However, there are TR badge holders that can be trusted, and this might simply be a case of one or two individuals spoiling a good thing.

The question is, do we abolish the system completely?

Please cast your votes. This poll will stand for one week and we shall take whatever action is required based on the results.

So what's the story here anyway samlad? Is the poll just for fun or is anything going to be done about the opinions expressed?

Maybe it's the Lisbon Treaty all over again - the poll stays going until we get the right answer?

It seems the majority don't actually want a TR status. Some people argued that only escorts should have been allowed to vote. I disagreed, however if that would have been the case, the same result would have been so. In fact, it's surprising to see that most escorts on the boards do not want the TR status full stop.

As to your comment, "is anything going to be done about the opinions expressed?", I'm assuming you mean that after the feedback, you think we should reinvent the system rather than scrap it completely? At this point, the answer is no, because the poll was to gauge whether or not the majority of people wanted a TR system in place full stop. It was a clear yes/no poll, no room for ambiguity.

No. I think this isn't a good idea because this would not be impartial. People have their little cliques and votes would be biased.
