Seems a lot more serious than this. If the girls pass on confidential info to a newly advertised escort to help her and this ends up in the wrong hands because the new escort is not a real independent then the ramifications to safety could be very serious. Even as a directory, surely the organisation could take measures to ensure that only bona fide indies and agencies get to advertise in the first place ?

To be honest Steve, aside from telling people not to talk to anyone else, I don't see what other precautions we can take at the moment. There's always going to be people sharing information. We implement the means to provide this information, however, we cannot always be held liable if that is shared.

Unfortunately this whole incident has fooled quite a lot of people.
I for one will try to be a lot slower and more reluctant to welcome new ladies on the boards, which is a real shame, because that's not fair on the genuine new independent escorts starting out.
But it's not a nice feeling being taken for a mug, these people are making it harder for all the genuine people here, escorts and clients
Thank you all the ladies I had pleasure of meeting. Forever grateful for the memories

This is done by websites in other countries. I know an escort who also worked in Norway and before the website would accept her advertisement, she had to fax or email them a copy of her passport or national i.d. card. The idea was to ensure that escorts advertising with the website were at least 18 and maybe also as a means of verifying that the photos were of the person or at laest bore a resemblance to her.
Obviously when a travel document is scanned in, it could then be manipulated before transmission to a website, so even with these precautions, you could still not be 100% certain that the details were valid as they could be altered, another person's travel documents could be substituted, or a trafficker could be in possession of the person's documents.
In addition, I can see genuine independent escorts having concerns about sending a copy of an i.d. document which contains their actual data.
