Egyptian Pyramids my Dream i will soon =)

I have the dream of going to Egypt in Cairo and plan to go later this year for sure Sweet kiss x

The Pyramids are spectacular, Amanda, but the Sphinx look a little bit worse for wear.

Sphinx got it's nose blown off by Napoleons gunners practicing their gunnery. The Pyramids are spectacular but the site is a complete rubbish tip covered in camel dung, coke cans, plastic cups and dog ends. Was very disappointed with it all. I thought the Sphinx was kept in better condition.


For ancient sites I think that Ephesus is better



Expanding all the time and kept in good condition,also the house where the Virgin Mary is supposed to have spent her last days is near by, as is the holiday resort of Kusadasi.

I wasn't aware of Napoleon's gunners practising on the Sphinx, Traveller. Bloody sacrilege!!!

I visited the Pyramids about 25 years ago, and it was a rubbish tip then. Kinda hoped it had improved somewhat in the meantime.
I didn't want to shatter Amanda's illusions before she went. Still awesome structures though.
