hang on there things will begin to pick up soon, i have a few business interests and in all of them we are predicting growth, the banks are the only thing holding us back, we created 30 jobs last year and will be the same again, but if we had the bank on our side it would be minimum 100 this year.
I really do see a upswing at the moment, it will take 6-9months to filter through, but by the end of 2011 everyone will see the difference, plus the is a huge american investment group that is in the process of buying 90% of namas residential properties, the properties all have to be upgraded to a B1 rating and furnished, they are going to be doing a very cheap rent 3 buy scheme, they will be releasing the first 15,000 properties on the scheme in may, some will be sold straight off and very cheaply, for example apartments in dublin city which would have been €700,000 will be released at €220-270,000, the scheme should create 1,000s of jobs in retail, construction and manufacturing.
that's just one example of things in the pipeline , i know of a lot more things that are to be announced which will improve things dramatically, so i wouldn't be leaving just yet, i think you've survived the worst of it.
