Preference or Fetish?

Why is a preference for blondes considered a preference, but a preference for Asians is considered a "fetish"?

I read this question on another site and have to admit I have always called it an Asian Fetish as opposed to preference. Just wondering what your thoughts are. Or just like me you never really though about it until now.

I never really thought about it, but I would consider Blonde, Brunette, Asian, South American etc to be preferences and being tied up and being spanked while I lick some pu**y to be a fetish.
