Copyright infringement goes on all the time. For example I expect a very large number of people here have avatars that are pictures they have found online somewhere, they don't own those pictures and in theory somebody could complain their copyright has been infringed. I'm not worried about this, but as a company we have to have a responsible attitude to copyright. We ask our users not to infringe copyright, and if we get any complaints that we are hosting any material that infringes anyone's copyright we have to look at that complaint and take appropriate action. We also can't willfully engage in any practices that would clearly be in breach of copyright law.

Regards links, we are not hosting that content, if somebody complained to us that we were linking to material that infringed copyright, we'd have to look at that complaint, but I think the general legal position we take here is that we are not responsible for the content of linked websites.

But aren't you forgetting that these photos/details are copyright the escorts? We don't have the right to display a copy of their profile longer than they want us to (Thus we couldn't host these images) and nor does anyone else (So, technically, they could be taken down by the free image host used if any escort made a complaint). I also think most reviewers just wouldn't go to this effort. The way to do it, if we wanted this idea to work, would be for E-I to host the screenshots and have them automatically taken, but E-I could never do this for the obvious legal reason that these screenshots are not legal copyright wise.

Yes, in theory, if E-I hosted the images and they were removed if an escort opted out of reviews, you could try to apply same logic and say it's allowed. But I personally think storing a screenshot of each escorts full profile at the time of her receiving any review and having these permanently availiable unless the escort opts out of reviews is a bit heavy handed, plus I imagine it would encourage escorts to opt out of reviews more, which isn't really a good thing. I don't really see why clients would even need a screenshot of the escort's profile at any point where another client reviewed her, like I just think it is a bit OTT.

Leaving aside all the copyright stuff Patricia and your other valid points which I am not arguing against but my god I assure you they do, they really really do. If they are to have any hope of not being perpetually hoodwinked and any hope of this industry being cleaned up here then trust me they really do need a way to know what a profile looked like over time, I do not mean the good escorts that are the minority I mean the vast bulk.

Pls Patricia do not paint it as OTT I assure you I know how badly something needs to change, aside from your points about legal issues and escort personal choice (which could easliy be catered to much like graphic reviews option) this would vastly improve things.
