The text is copyright the author, but I think the pictures would be the main thing and the phone number I suppose, as that's their private info, I doubt many complaints would be made about anything else. Basically when ladies advertise a profile here, they authorise E-I to put up their photos, details etc, but these are their photos, details etc.

Ok thanks but I guess its entirely ok if escorts who were happy for this to be done gave consent then all legal issues are done away with?

If E-I got escorts to agree to such an arrangement when paying to advertise, maybe, but I don't think I'd even ask the lawyers, as I don't think we'd want to go there. I think I would see it as sort of bullying on E-I's part to get escorts to agree that if they advertise here we can display their photos and personal details forever onwards.

I wouldn't say so. I'd think, even if you got escorts to agree to this, they could still complain and have legal grounds.

Maybe if someone here has better legal knowledge than me they could comment?

Ok, well thread was called any reason why not so we seem to have a few, still puzzled that my warning threads with screenshots seem to cross the copyright line.

I guess back you plan A

I'd guess they do, but if nobody is complaining?

A business can't take that relaxed an attitude to copyright law though.

You have to put this into context also. Individuals frequently infringe various copyrights online all the time. Legal cases as a result of copyright infringement by individuals must be extreemly rare I think.

I have a headache too, I didn't mean to start a big copyright discussion here! Regards links, we are not hosting that content, if somebody complained to us that we were linking to material that infringed copyright, we'd have to look at that complaint, but I think the general legal position we take here is that we are not responsible for the content of linked websites.
