    Mark, you know I am a great admirer and fan of your posts. Always well thought out and diplomatic.

    So please don't take offence when I say I disagree with that last line. Like Banjo, I agree with the rest of your post entirely.

    I suspect that being the thorough gentleman, you tend to take the blame in any situation when it comes to women. Again, you may be commenting on your personal relationship situation. And although I've never met you, I am sure that your wife and family are very lucky to have you.

    As for men being bastards...I think it is a two way street. Women can be equally bad in their own way. In any relationship one partner can be the more guilty party when it breaks up. But this isn't always the man! And in any relationship both parties must take some responsibility for its failure, regardless of who is more to blame.
