He he... It aint that bad Mousey. I am happily married. My wife is a honey. I’m just greedy. But to be in a situation that both parties hate each other must be terrible. My parents weren’t exactly ecstatic with each other and I always have in the back of my mind to try and not end up like that.

That's a contradiction in terms and if you really were 'happily married' you wouldn't spend as much time on here or visiting your other hunny bunnies. That's just my opinion James, so if you are truly happy with your married life, good luck to you, and apologies for sounding so cynical.

Marriage itself isn't the problem, Mousey, it's living with someone for a long time, growing apart without realising it, taking each other for granted, and all the other sh1t - kids, work, money etc. It's called wear and tear in the relationship, married or otherwise.

People fall in and out of love. Some keep their feelings bottled up, for the sake of the family.
It would be wrong of me to say I think my wife is a cu*t, but the facts are we are less in love than we used to be. There are times when I feel as though I hate her guts, and she probably feels the same, but that was a feeling that occurred before and we would have the 'make-up' sex.

Now, we tend to go through the motions, doing our own thing, and occasionally doing something together, but sex is definitely off the negotiating table, which is why I visit the ladies of E-I.

I'm probably a coward for not leaving the relationship, and making a clean break and letting us both get on with a new life, but I still have an emotional attachment to her that stops me.

This is a very valid point uve made Mark, why more often than not when u meet a really nice girl she has a partner/husband
who is a total arsehole and visa versa. Is it because there is never such a thing as a truly equal relationship and there must
always be a dominant force in every relationship be it the male or the female? For me personally now i could never see me
trying a long term relationship again, i just couldnt part with my independence and freedom, I look around and friends and
accquantiances that are married with families etc and see the toll it takes on them, the constant stress and worry, if its
not financial its the behaviour of the kids their academic prospects, its never ending. I ve seen many cheerful outgoing
people just being ground down over time. Most days i can wake up knowing im my own boss can make my own choices
dont have to worry about the effect every decision will make on people dependant on me, in my eyes even though i know
im missing out on certain things i still have much more serenity and peace of mind
