The idea is a great one indeed, although not really new, this has been discussed in the past.

The reason it was never implemented is a combination of all the facts you highlighted so far. The main one being the position of danger the escort may put herself into when dealing with delicate issues like warnings, agencies, banning users. Anybody pissed of by the escort mod would have an easy way to find out where she is …

The second thing, not as important but annoying enough, envy and bitchiness will follow (“of course she’s got clients, she kisses the arse of any guy here”. I even believe that some guys may not take her seriously because of her day job.

Beside the retired escort solution (which is really the best in my opinion), there is also the solution of giving a new identity to the active escort when modding, so nobody but the site would know who she is. But eventually this can be guessed …
