There's a number of them here in the US & some speculation they're driving a degree of business away from 'regular' Escort Sites.
From some stuff I've seen/heard on the American punting wires, it seems this phenomenon will only grow bigger in coming years.

I see, sayeth the blind man- I hadn't really understood your initial post til now...
You're correct, the sugardaddy thing is clearly a form of pay to play but it's as if the girls turn on blinders to reality,
I know a few guys who've used them with varying degrees of 'success' & have a buddy who's been entering such arrangements for a lot longer than the net's been around- the women don't see themselves as being sex workers as the 'relationship' <can> assume a quasi boyfriend dimension. At least here in the US, I suspect the Sugardaddy system grew out of the strip club culture whereby many strippers don't see themselves as pros..but are prepared to bang certain wealthy men who just happen to buy them prada handbags etc ;->
