Ireland possibly is a mecca at the moment, but I really think it is the lovely ladies that are making it so.

Just a few observations- Don't know if it's the best place- there are jurisdictions where the game is 'properly' regulated ( although then there's the whole registering/tax etc hassels, e.g. Australia/Switzerland).
I've played the game in several countries & there's no doubt IRL provides overall a pretty decent environment at present- esp compared to where I now live (US)- where punting is almost fully illegal period (except in some Nevada counties & Providence, Rhode island).
