Really can't see it happening to be honest. I agree with one of the posters that there might be a few headline stories, these sort of stories are always good to boost a politicans ego, sell newspapers and keep the moral majority happy.
But in reality, how the hell are they going to enforce it? The gardi like all other public services are under economical/political pressure, they aren't going to get any increase in resources to police it. How are they going to prove your paying for sex without seeing money changing hands, are they going to burst out of the wardrobe ?
Lastly I think the new govt have far more important issues to deal with.

unfortunatly i have heard whispers about this of late.all it takes is 1 new junior minister trying to make a name to push this through.certin media outlets would be more than happy to jump on the bandwagon.just look at the job thats being done here in mayo, none of the regular girls that visit are getting past the boys/girls in blue for the past 3 weeks

The thing about this kind of legislation is that it dosent need a high volume detection rate just a high profile in
the media. The thing here is that the punishment for the crime is not what the criminal system will do to u, but
the public humiliation in the media. Can u imagine the court reporters queing up to report on the first cases that
would be tried. My point is that the consequences would be so dire for many guys that they would really think
before punting. Paris B is correct that is exactly what would happen the whole way the escorting scene works
would change not go away
