Terrible Spelling

In my humble opinion there are 3 main reasons.
1)Technology,texting,social networking sites etc.
2)A lot of posters whose first langauge is not english,
3)Laziness on behalf of posters.
Also prevalent is the misuse of your,you're,their and there,this I put down to poor education

Is the terrible standard of spelling an indictment of our education system ?or is
it the direct result of technology, txting, abbreviations being used in chatrooms
on social networking sites and twitter etc. Poor handwriting seemed to be the
bain of educated people in the past now it seems to have graduated to their
spelling

I would never be critical of people whom its not their first language, but i deff agree with u on the other points

Well i know my spelling isnt perfect, but i make an effort,I would only have a very basic level of education (left school when i was 15 by necessity not choice) , but i love to read so i presume that has compensated to an extent

We are told every day here about trolls, there is a discussion going on here and posts like that definitely come under the definition of trolling, This person obviously thinks he cracks us all up but to be honest its humour of a very juvenile nature and not in the
least funny
