It seems Doom and bigpaws are over reacting to the reference situation. If any lady wants a reference that is their perogative and if you object in the manner that pair are it suggests something to hide.
Anyway if she is relaxed after someone has vouched for you she will more than likely give you a better time.

well when i choose an escort i prefer if they've been reviewed recently themselves positively. rarely take a 'gamble' and most times i leave pretty satisfied.
if the escorts want a reference of me from someone else, well at first it may seem a tad surprising, but heck i got nothing to hide. as far as i know i've treated every lady with respect, regardless if they were rude. (i've only had one bad experience). so now i also judge them on how they sound on the phone. if they seem nice i will go ahead with making a booking. if they sound rude then i don't. if escorts can afford to be picky with their clients, it's certainly their right to do so if they please. i'd be confident that i get nice reviews about my conduct. so i don't have a problem with it.

Ladies will work in whatever way suits them best, and rightly so. Nothing is foolproof in this industry. We can only reduce the perceived risks. If, for some ladies, asking for references means they see a certain type of gent and avoid another type, and that's what the lady wants, so what?
Some ladies have been taking 'reference only' clients for well over a year and it appears to be working for them. If it resulted, as some suggest, in a significant loss of clients, I'm sure they would have had a rethink about it.
Who's to tell them whats the right or wrong way to work.

References wont work. all clients have to start with their first escort. Basically, Alyssa expects other escorts to risk their safety with first time clients when she will not. She then expects the other escort to warn her of the dodgy clients and recommend the good ones! In the short term, she may get by on a certain amount of goodwill from other escorts. However I suspect that it wil not be long before this self-serving attitude has other escorts only recommending bad clients.

You have it all wrong I am not saying I will not meet new clients at all and I am not expecting other ladies to take risks that I will not in fact if there is no reference present i ask other security questions and just have a chat first and from there make my decision whether we will be meeting in fact I think that this helps a little by chatting a bit first as well to see that we are getting on together etc etc...I have never said I will not meet new clients...Simply have said that I would like to ask for references and ask security questions....I really think that this whole thread has taken on all sorts of topics that arent really even valid...I mentioned in my previous post the following that basically each person has thier own opinion of what they believe is right and wrong and what they believe helps them feel better and even though we dont all think the same we can perhaps just respect other peoples choices thats all...Live and let live really....I agree with what piggi said about the safty and the burglar bars yes its an effort and makes one feel safer which helps alot......And again I agree with uk heather that each individual has thier own ways of doing and dealing with things....

I do not mean to be obtuse but I have difficulty understanding how a "nice chat" is going to assure Alyssa that you are not a raving Psycho. I have limited personal experience of raving psychos but on the telly they are usually very friendly and personable gentlemen until they turn violent.
