How is it irrelevant? Comedy profiles, for example, are allowed. Also, tort has seen a number of escorts. If this other mystery profile has seen some of the same then some of those ladies might be in a position to tell us whether they are the same person or not. Finally, there is the fact that this other profile was discovered just after he posted a thread complaining about how the site is managed. Maybe that's a coincidence. To judge whether it is or not, it would be helpful to know which profile you are talking about. If it's one that hasn't been used in ages then I think you have some explaining to do. If not then some of us may be prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt.
“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

Apologies for having a night off!
Okay, if he was banned for complaining, surely we wouldn't have left his thread up? I know what you're trying to get at, but it's not the case. As for comedy profiles, if we come accross one that we don't already know about, it gets pulled; the 'alter ego' is asked which profile they want to keep.
Many people complain, it's the nature of the site. We aren't here to 'turn up in black vans' or anything, but then again if we have good reason to ban someone, we won't prevent from doing it just because we may be accused of some great coincidence.
I didn't necessarily mean a reply from you. Surely you didn't just decide to ban him on your own? One of the other managers could have replied.
I know that complaint threads often get deleted. Some of mine have been recently. I've noticed it tends to happen when not many people have seen the thread yet. Once a thread gets a fair number of replies it is much more likely to survive. Possibly because all the people whose posts have been deleted along with the thread would complain.Okay, if he was banned for complaining, surely we wouldn't have left his thread up? But do you have a good reason? I assume your reasons for believing tort to be another user are technical, an ip match or something of that sort. Have you noticed that the technical side of the site has gone to hell lately? Earlier this evening it locked me out because it thought I had made five unsuccessful login attempts in 15 minutes. In reality I had made zero. Most of the time it doesn't even let me get as far as a login page. So it's not just a question of whether you have black vans. It's not clear to me that E-I employs anyone who understands how the internet works. Many people complain, it's the nature of the site.
