From what I see in old posts, there's always been somebody unhappy about something or other.

Sam it was never perfect but it was always answerable to the person who had the most to loose. One thing that has crept in to the site is the illusion that he who posts most knows most.
I was here before most people who mod had even joined the site and those of us who dont speak often speak when we feel its appropriate and not for the sake of it.
Mods are not the problem nor the answer > its the attitude that has crept into the community due to someone taking their eye off the ball and priorities being warped.
Again no offense meant to anyone its just my opinion

Seriously, no offence taken.
I agree that it's not a case that he who posts most, knows most, and there are people (such as yourself) that take a back seat and observe rather than overly interact, which is fine.
I don't think the priorities of the mods are being warped, but we are adapting to the ever changing systems of the site.

I understand what you are saying Torturedarc, but I suppose it's like every business. The boss gets involved in all aspects at the start, but at some stage has to hand over the general running of the organisation to managers while they develop other areas.
It seems to have become more of a 'nanny state' on here over the last 12 months with all the managers and mods etc.
I think there have been far too many bans and infractions than were necessary, but I suppose the managers and mods have to apply the rules as they see them.
