Why ban Alec Horan?

i did see the post and i also reported the post and i feel a ban is the right move for what he said in his post.
his post was in no way funny or a joke there were no smileys anywhere in his post to suggest he was joking or having fun and i found it highly abusive and insulting.
as for how long the ban should last i'll leave that to the managers but after seeing the post for myself i wouldnt ever let him back to abuse and insult people like that again.

You don't need smileys on a thread to deem it funny if you were offended by Alec's craic do the rest of us a favour and ban yourself for being a child on an adult forum. I am offended by the word cunt in your avatar.

I'm still a relative newbie here, but have to admit I just don't get how this site works. I assumed it was for adults, and that free expression was allowed and adult topics could be discussed. But there are seeming contradictions:

Swearing is not allowed on the boards but hardcore sexual descriptions on reviews (and in escorts favourites) are okay.

Ads themselves offering sex for money are not EI's problem (hey it's all a co-incidence!!), but discussing adult activities such as recreational drug use or agencies is not allowed.

The site is for over 18's, but don't even think of saying anything that might offend someone!

It you don't like a thread or post, just bloody ignore it. You're under no obligation to read or reply. It's like Mary Whitehouse going out of her way to find tv programs to watch just so she can be offended!!

Fully appreciate the tough and thankless job the sitemanagers have, but surely we can all be mature about things?

This is the only electronic forum I've ever joined, and it was because of the craic I saw on the boards (and the pretty ladies ). I also acknowledge that bullying shouldn't be allowed, but FFS, why do are there so many eunchs around these days (society in general, but this site seems to be a good microcosm).

It isn't that tough a job and lets face it, the moderators wanted to do the job so hey ho. The problem is I think sometimes it is forgotten that this is an adult site, that people agree when they join that they are over eighteen and that you CANNOT POLICE THE INTERNET. If you want PC crap why not join Politics Ie?

The problem now is the site is going the other way, to the point where finding an escorting thread in general is rare and you have to wade through the fluffy wuffy idiocracy to try and understand any point, and if any real discussion does start the thread is locked and deleted before it has a chance to be answered. So predictable I can set my watch by it.

this is an adult fourm and as a member of this fourm longer than you and most other posters i feel that people should act like adults and behave like adults and nothing that alac posted in that post was something that any adult would have posted.

Jayf, you may not realise this but a thread a day gets locked and deleted here. Considering that Alec spends the majority of time calling Mousey a cunt, telling me I have crossed the rubicon and that the rest of us are pondlife I suspect I wont be too shocked
