If it's any consolation mate I've been personally robbed/held up twice and my house has been burgled 3 times so I know exactly how you feel and your not alone, I hate to think it but you do get over it and now if I went home to find it burgled I'd be pissed off but not surprised in the age we live in

I wasn't surprised that people can and will do what happened to us today. But when it does happen you get this feeling of anger, disgust, sickness and violation inside that makes you feel like such a victim. Law abiding citizens have less rights in this world than criminals.

Case in point - what your man said in the "Wanking Bankers" YouTube video. If I steal a loaf of bread to feed my family I'll be put in prison but these developers and bankers are still living the high life. This is how we feel tonight .... we minded our own business and someone decided to take from us what is rightfully ours and ours only. And all I'm talking about there is the smiles on our faces, our inner sense of security and our right to not be interfered with. It's all gone tonight, we were emptied out.

    *sigh*

Life is tough sometimes. We all really need to learn when to appreciate when we have it good, which might seem like it's only ordinary but trust me - ordinary is far better than this.
not being unsympathetic, if it is a house robbery i've been through that three times, but i don't think it's fair or accurate to say that criminals have more rights than law abiding citizens. in your case if they can't catch the guys who did it, then it's nothing to do with what rights they have.
also, nobody is in jail in this country for having robbed a loaf of bread to feed their family. nobody. we need to get the bankers in jail alright. i just think comments like this are overly negative, not based on reality and encourage people to become despondant about the way things are.

In fairness some times it does seem like they have more rights or at least their rights can be greater
Case in point if some one breaks into your home to steal everything but hurts himself in the process he can sue you for damages.

Sorry to hear about this, fella. I hope all is resolved soon. It's good that you have reflected on this in a positive way in the sense that you feel we should never take things for granted. Fair play to you, bud!
