Thread: smoking?

Maybe you don't screen your workers well then. Why they would not use the gym or see the doctor is beyond me too.... I'm guessing our minds work differently. Maybe it is some thing, that they don't want their other colleagues to see them sweat etc....

I can associate with everything you guys are talking about regarding this smoking issue. I used to feel the same and I think it is discrimination..... god, I'd love to have fag now... I thinkI'll stop reading this thread.
And Jackie, I used to say the same thing, smoking was my only vice too. So once you are ready and you will know that, I'm sure you will be able to give up.

They are my friends, despite their opinions which don't matter.

But on a serious note, why dont they use the gym?
I even hired a pilates teacher, and that went down like a lead balloon.
I thin I am really nice,

They don't use it because they are paid to go to work, once of the clock they go home. Not sticking around to work out with the boss. They're co-workers would give them a awful slagging, its an irish thing.

I have to say the introduction of the smoking ban in public places has massively changed my life for the better.

I’ve had chest problems all my life but as I’ve gotten older my chest has got worse with age.

Before the ban I had NO social life, out were going to the pub, clubs even restaurants I had to call up before hand and ask if they had no smoking areas.

There isn’t a time that doesn’t go by when I now go to the pub for a pint with my mates that I don’t think about how its made my life so much better, my only regret is I just wish it had been introduced years ago.

The only thing that helps with quitting smoking is willpower . All the rest is media hype . .: doc
