Really- when did GPs in IRL become the morality police? My question is serious- a doctor refusing to prescribe ED medication based on an indidual's domestic status would surely leave themselves wide open to a formal complaint that'd be rather hard ( pardon pun) to defend!!

They check what other medication you are on, I got some via an online prescription - and am taking an ACE inhibitor and a statin - which seem to fine as regards interactions - the big thing to avoid is beta blockers (I think) and most importantly nitrates like TNT sprays or poppers (Amyl Nitrate) - these can give you a heart attack. They're also not reccomended for people with kidney problems. I really don't think this is the case Kryss. GP's/ doctors don't give a damn about marital status etc. If however, you were turned down because of this - you have actually have cause for complaint to the Irish Medical Council.

Chill Franken. This isn't the case. Doctors aren't moral police in the Republic. Certainly not anymore. The morning after pill was being prescribed to all and sundry without any questions asked about marital or relational status. And now the morning after pill is over the counter (as it should be). So either Kryss was quoting a specific case of a nut case doc, or it was his (Kryss) own assumption.

I don't believe a word of it. With the cut backs in the HSE at the moment, they cant' afford medical measuring devices or pictures of naked women. Admit it - the female doctor stripped for you and then blew you! (No need to be ashamed now...you're among friends.) Incidentally where did you find this female doctor again?

I have a female doctor,when i asked for it, she made me strip off my bottom half and showed me pictures of naked woman, took out a medical measuring device and refused to give me a prescription. Wonderful thing the HSE.

Holy cr*p. You should have explained that your wife is no longer 19 and that you will be happy to go without the Viagra if she can prescribe you some lasses like the ones in her photos.

If I went to the docter and asked him/her for a precription for viagra would he just give it to me?

If you can't get viagra, just get 2 lollypop sticks and some sticky tape to make a splint. I saw it on blue peter or something like that.
