I never doubted his ability to get his form back. He has been playing well in most games before tonight without getting goals.

I'm sure the Liverpool fans will give Torres a nice, polite reception on Sunday.

Who needs Torres when we have Andy Carroll?

How are those two sentences linked at all?

One is like saying, I never doubted goalscorer x would score again oh and by the way I'm sure Tevez will get a nice polite reception next time he plays at Old Trafford.

Rooney as has Torres, not been great for some time but noone has said they are totally gone, over the top, dead, can never score again etc. Rooney is a great footballer, he should have done more with his talent but suggesting he would never get back into form is/was daft of whomever it was that suggested it.

If Rooney does hit form now,United will be unstopable.

(still can't my head around the madness in the transfer market last night)

Glad to see you are agreeing with me so. I am fickle as a football fan, I am tribal as a football fan, I am hypocritical as a football fan. That is what football fans are. Never tried to prove someone wrong or right based on one game though. Now that IS fickle.

What do you mean about unstoppable? From where I'm sitting, Barca is the unstoppable force, whether rooney hits form or not. They are better than the AC Milan side in the late 80's, early 90's. Better than the LFC team(s) of the late 70's and early/mid 80's. Better than the Ajax team of the mid 70's. Atleast in my eyes. Best club team ever? Can't be far from it. My opinion etc.

I wouldn't agree with you in a month of Sundays. The media have been trying to write Rooney off after building him up for so long, and the op referred to them. I am certainly not fickle.

Another use for my new favourite and unfractionable picture.
