I got an email from shirleyy. It seems her ban is over, so I'll end my self-imposed one as well.

Sorry to all my guests in advance .
P.S. I will check in between , if Shirley is back , just a peek.
I have to say, I'm very impressed. After all, I had nothing to lose financially by taking a break from E-I. Quite the contrary. It would have left me with more time for my real job. For an escort to pull an ad, on the other hand, is a real sacrifice.

The fact is people make a public issue of a situation; managers/mods try to resolve things peacefully, we are accused of censorship and abused for it, when the majority of the time all we are trying to do is make sure that individual posters don't get hurt or offended.

This site will never be Utopian people, as people love a good online drama. The problem with this idea is that when somebody is banned, there is always a divide of opinion. Perhaps that might be a good idea? At least that way they will be a reduced chance that people will argue!
I actually prefer the quiet diplomacy route for resolving issues. When it works. But lately it hasn't, Sam. For me or, from what I hear, for other people. When I send a pm, I get one of two replies. It's either, "Yes, we've looked into that" or "Okay, we'll look into that". But it never seems to lead anywhere. So I try the public route. At least that way I get a response.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

You left out "my hands are tied" and "thats being investigated". For example does anyone really know how long it takes to compare the verification photo on two different advertising profiles ?

That's a shame really... we deal with many reports on a daily basis and nobody gives us any credit for those... not that we are looking for credit mind! It's another classic case of the isolated incidences out weighing the greater good.

To be fair I have to say not being the Managers favourite person, I have on occassion required assistance and they have being very helpful! They are a great addition to the place but sometimes frustration over issues boil over and appear personal when they are not!

I understand that Danny. The frustration does work both ways to be honest. Sometimes we really do wish we could clarify things more, but it's not always that easy.

That is understandible Sam. I tend to get carried away especially where my friends are concerned. It is never personal although I have gone to a couple of ponds with a straw and a nasty glint in my eye after a row with you!
