question for anyone from East Europe

I was child when the communists gone, sorry, but i can´t help you.
Just think, if the communists still would hold the rule, we will fuck just people from east Europe, now we are fucking worldwide and this is nice, don´t you think so?
We can live where we want, we can travel where we want, only some people from east germany still think, in the "time of trabants" everything was better.
Anyway, Honecker or Stasi, i have my own opinion, which i´ll keep for myself ;-)

First I have to say , there is nothing higher value than freedom ! I was still young at that time , but I remember a lot how scared I was about whats coming and I was worried about my people . None of use was prepared for the big freedom .
Only much later I understood what I had lost and what I had gained .
I miss a lot of things from GDR and not everything in the new open world is rosy , but I am gratefull for the chance I got .
If 89 wouldnt have happend I would proberbly be married with 2.5 kids , have a safe job and wouldnt need to worry how to pay my bills . I would travel once a year to a brotherhood country and be kind of happy with it .
Its a very emotional subject for me and writing down everything that goes through my head responding to your questions would defenetly fill a book .

Thats two from GDR which was under a paricularly hardline regime, would love to hear about other brotherhood countries or Warsaw Pact nations as we in the west new them collectively as.
