Default Wife Wanting To Change Her Car!

Wifes car now four years old, over 50 thousand miles on clock and she can't understand why we didn't change it this year.

I may be a heartless sod, but I would prefer to spend the money elsewhere rather than replacing a car that's still going fine.

So what excuse would you come up with to retain that old faithful?
I'm talking about the car by the way!

Look her straight in the eye and tell her NO it ain't happening . : doc
ps I'll give you a discount on a repair to yourself if she flips
Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before.
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do .: doc

Is the lady inclined to value green issues?

"Another car shall have to be built-we're helping
our enviroment by retaining the perfectly good vehicle, darling"

(maybe i should have PM'd you that one.)

I would say , tell her the truth .
There is no need to change something thats working fine . Maybee you can packed it more nicely than the earlier suggested firm NO . That might work with a dog , but not with a women . Just try to explain that you have a problem to go alonge with the consume society and appeal to her social side to set a good example for the kids , if you have kids . That mostly works .

I was thinking of telling her the truth:-
"no dear, theres no need to change the car. Frankly I would prefer to spend the money on escorts rather than move up a few years."
Thought about it, then thought better about it!

If I was to appeal to her social side, I think that might get her a bit more worried!

Might just tell her the truth after all, after all the punting fund is very dear to my heart.

Tell her that in the current econmoic climate you cant justify spending an extra few thousand on a luxury and to keep her car a bit longer

    That's a good one.
I can justify it to myself because a car is a luxury, while escorts are a necessity!
