Yes the pic you see on the profile if its the pre size increase one will be like you say but when you open that same one in its own page it reduces to old size and that slight bluriness disapears. When you do the same thing with pics uploaded after this size change they stay the same size.

obviously not being an escort I don't know exactly how the E-I photo submit system works, but most sites when you upload a photo to them will automatically resize the image to fit their standards. In E-I's case it's width=260 & height=360 (pixels). If the original photo is smaller than these sizes then the image will be pixelated. As googleplex mentions above even the worst camera phones on the market have a better resolution than that.
