I agree with Jackie.My wife walked out on me.This came as a big shock because i thought we had a good marriage.She never said to me she was unhappy until one day when i came home from work to find a note stuck on the tv to say she was gone back to her mothers.My life fell apart but with the help of family and friends i came slowly around.I divorced her in april of last year.Time is a great healer.Although i am still single i have alot to be very happy about.I won't give up looking for love but i won't go out of my way to find it either if it happens it happens.

Sorry to hear this happened to you,but fair play to your ex for packing her bags and leaving,you know most women would manufacture a barring order to get you out of the house.

I'm in my mid-forties, divorced 8 years ago, the wife walked out with our son and shacked up with the guy who used to live across the road!! Fcuker.

Anyway I had the same thoughts about not finding someone as you and had a years dry spell. I was miserable and despaired that I may never find anyone.
Then one day I had a eureka moment and just thought fcuk it, I'm letting these thoughts rule my life, just get out and enjoy yourself. What helped me was that I went out and tried something new every month be it mountain biking, archery or asking an escort for something new ;-)....
This all helped to alter my mindset and things have just got better and better since. There has been low points of course but everybody has them. The good far outweigh the bad.
It was when I stopped looking for a girlfriend that I actually found one!!

The last 7 years or so of my life since that eureka moment have been fantastic and full of adventure. I live it to the full to the best of my abilities.
It might not seem like it at the moment but everyone has moments like these, it will pass and that special woman in your life will appear before you one day when youre not looking.

Ever get those days when u feel thats your lot in life u ain't gonna find that special someone to love & share the rest of your life with?, of course the only way to find love again is to let go of the past & embrace the future and all that I've done that sure I've had my chances but in my early 40's now I have come to the realization it ain't gonna happen I'd have made a good husband good daddy and all twas all a fantasy Somebody out there will make u feel happy content & loved? theres someone out there for everyone? no it aint gonna happen I've closed the door on Love ..
