Biffo steps down

In the last few minutes Brian Cowen has resigned as leader of FF.
Something he should have done a long time ago but better late than never I guess.

Not necessarily,with the government in shambles the election could be brought ahead as labour are trying to do at the moment...

There was always going to be a change of government no matter who was leader of FF but with Cowen now gone they may now do a little better in the election.One question now is who will the new leader be.My money is on Micheal Martin.

They were saying earlier on that they had calculated the effect a new leader would have, and it would only result in a +3% shift in support.

Bearing in mind the abysmal levels they are at, this is not going to help
