It's not that the topic is a taboo. But it's been brought up so many times that people are fed up with it. Never goes anywhere and more often than not it ends up in a blow out amongst various posters who are very sensitive to the topic for some reason. Don't claim to understand why it's such a touchy subject in the first place but that's how it is.
