Great post and I agree.

I read several times here that you need to be "thick skinned" to cope on these boards. But that's not really true though is it, i mean as soon as someone takes offense to a post they cry foul or the mods interject even before that. Why is this anyway? The censoring of foul language in particular is a contradiction in its most basic form when you consider that the content of the site in general, it really doesn't get any more adult than this yet there's this constant feeling that the mods are babysitting or overseeing a playground of posters. If you're bold you get a slap on the wrist, if you're bold three times you stand in the corner for a week!
We're all adults here, capable of looking after and defending ourselves. If someone doesn't like what's been said then turn off your pc and everything goes away! simples. I read through some old posts from a few years ago where posters would be at each others throats, foul language etc - the threads would fizzle out and you can see the same posters talking to each other on the following threads.. no hard feelings etc. There wasn't any censoring or post deleting and it seemed to work. No locking threads and as for that, we've seen that that only serves to increase frustrations as a new thread with more of the same invariably sprouts up.

I'm not having a go at the mods here, im really not! I just think some of the rules seem inherantly wrong, you guys are just adhering to them and fair enough. I'm not even gonna get into the mod perception of what constitutes what, that's another thing.
Anyway, my point is that we're all adults here on a very adult themed site yet i think many posters would agree that they often feel like they're not treated as such.

I understand you but I have to agree with Lucy on that ... Isn't easy your job I'm sure is not and I know all of you do your best
But people are here for fun and when they are told what to do and so many rules has be followed some people just say things because they are annoyed. So that is why I do think depending on how the mods behave the situation calms down or go crazy.

I don't take it personally Lucy, trust me, there are bigger things to worry about than stick and stones; I thought you knew me better than that. Like I say, the people you mentioned, whatever your opinion of them, the comments were inappropriate, regardless of the level of which you deem them vicious or not. Besides, Debest had made the comment that he would be banned for what he had written, and has obviously forwarded an unedited version to his friends as he knew it would be edited (or deleted), so his ban was premeditated anyway. He wanted to go out with a bang, afterall.

No, he did not. I asked another user to send me the text, and he obliged. Shall I tell you a story about Debest? I received an NA review, and he sent me a PM laughing at me. By the end of the conversation I had a new friend. Debest isnt a peoples person, he called me everyname from sad to hag, but he is a gentleman. He likes women, he stands up for what he believes in, and most of all, he does it with a smile. Debest is a good guy, and that is that.

How do evrybody. I have to say just one thing thats not been said yet.
