Words you hate!!

If you could pick one word you could remove from the english language what would it be??

The one word I absolutely hate is not a swear or derogatory word it's quite a harmless one but one I detest "flaccid" it always makes me cringe when I hear it!!!

actually... always thrown superflously into sentences, especially by people trying to sound official.

albeit... just a word I actually dislike for no real reason.

I hate the over use of the word 'obviously'. If you watch ny documentry, you'll pick up on it, and ironically most of the time, the thing the culprit is referring to is far from obvious! This word never seems to be used in the correct context.

It seems that 'obviously' and 'basically' (with the 'at the end of the day' cliche added for good measure) are used to try and 'broaden' a person's vocabulary, thus making themselves sound more intellegent (in their eyes).

'To be honest...' Use this way too much myself. To be honest, I can't lie anyway, so it's totally redundant.

I loathe misuse of the apostrophe. I propose punishing the grammatically inferior with internment in a concentration camp up a mountain in Connemara.
