    Default new year, new home?

Around the begining of December, myself and herself were having a quiet drink
in our local hotel. After a while an elderly couple came and sat near us. We chatted

Buying another round of drinks and thinking like a weasel, I braved "What did ya pay for it so?"
"38k" he replied. I offered him 40k (half joking) "Give us 5k today" and the rest in the new year.

Erm, are you for real here or what ? Carrickstown (or Carrigstown ?) is the name of the fictional area in Dublin where Fair City is set.

So you paid 8k for a set of keys to a house in Carrickstown.

You really do need that upgrade.
