Yet again, I made an appointment to see an escort and turned up on time.

Turning up involved a long cold trudge over Dublin's icy streets but I made sure that I was there on time.

I rang but there was no answer, I rang several times over five minutes and the lady could not be bothered picking up the phone.

I had no option but to turn around and head back.

Why take a booking if you are not going to answer the phone when the client arrives?

It hurts me as a client but it also hurts other escorts. I have learned enough about myself to know that, once I have been left out to dry like that, I should not attempt to see another escort. I will be feeling tense and on edge and will not enjoy myself. Just as bad, if I see an escort when I am in that frustrated frame of mind, she will realise that I am not enjoying my time with her and will probably be unhappy too.

So, if an escort accepts a booking from me and does not go through with it, she has stopped another lady from earning money. My punting is limited by the availability of opportunities not cash so when a punt falls through, that has a direct impact on my punting spend. To put it another way, if every lady with whom I made a booking picked up her phone and said that she was ready when I turned up on time and called, my punting spend would be 30-40% higher than it is.

To make this more directly personal, there were seven names on my list today. Number 4 answered the phone and accepted my booking. Ladies, how would you feel if you knew that you actually had been number 5 on the list and missed out on the chance of a couple of hundred Euros because number 4 accepted a booking but never went through with it?

If the escort is professional in any way, standing a client up is unacceptable.

If the escort is unable to see the client for whatever reason, he/she should have the courtesy to inform the client asap verbally, not by ignoring him. It happened to me before where suddenly the escort wasn't available, we met in person and she gave me a name and number to ring. I didn't moan a bit cause I know the escort herself cares about her client's needs (I'm a regular) more than the cash, her action was very much appreciated.

Well, to be fair, there is a warnings forum to which clients can post and an escort who allows reviews can also get a review that states that she did not honour a booking.

I think is very easy for ur guys to said good or bad escorts the numbers of clients who book and do not show (even regular many time) (not only me but i have discuss this with few ladies) now have not the decency to cancel or if they do is 5mn before the booking time. And as you all know with the economic situation girls would not take too much risk knowing that the guy who had book may never show and she will have lost a chance to make money. Years ago if 1 client do not show up u will have time to catch up later during the day but now it is less and less the case. I only wish sometime a client will seats a day with a lady and see what we are going through and all the wanker we can meet or have on phone these days.

But in other hand you have some nice and polite gents who come and put back your faith in your job

I may have misunderstood, but it seems to me that you are saying that I should not complain about an escort failing to keep a booking because sometimes clients do not keep bookings.

Is that your point?

Because if it is, I want to know if I can turn that around and say that clients should not care about not keeping appointments because sometimes escorts do not. Are you happy with that? I very much doubt it. I would not be happy with that.

If you want to complain about the economic situation, what do you have to say about the escort who was number five on my list? Chances are that at 15:00 this afternoon she was sat on her lonesome without a client because the escort who was number four had got me out in Dublin 7 hanging about waiting for someone to answer the phone.

How would you feel if you had been that number five and you had just been cheated out of the chance to get my money by the number four who took the booking but never picked up the phone? Really, how would you feel if that was you? Please tell me that. Because there was a number five on the list who never had a chance of getting my money today and that was not down to me, that was down to number four.

If you were that number five, what would you have to say to number four? Would you commiserate with her about some other clients who didn't turn up or would you complain that you were two hundred euro down because she grabbed a booking that she could not fulfill when you would have been happy to get hot and sticky with sharkskin and not leave him out in the snow?

Interesting to see the different perspectives on this subject from the escorts and the clients. I certainly don’t condone Escorts making double bookings, not at all, but I now have a better insight as to why it happens. Personally I am lucky, it has only happened me once.

At the end of the day we’re all human and sometimes shit happens. At the very least a phone call or text from either the client or escort to explain. A little bit of respect goes along way.

Everyone’s circumstance is different, but the thing is for me, when I choose an escort, I don’t do it at short notice. I need to plan my time in advance. And since the time where I was stood up, once I have made the booking, whether it be by PM or phone, on the day I will keep in touch to let the escort know I am still OK and just before I head into Dublin, I will text again. This gives the escort every opportunity to let me know if something is up and she can’t make it.

If after all that I make the trip into town and I am then stood up, jesus I would be pissed off for wasting 2 or 3 hours of time travel + hanging around,

I don’t go into town with a list of backup numbers, so the only consolation is that I go home with the money still in my pocket and it will go to a more deserving and trust worthy escort another day.

I have been very fortunate with the escorts I have chosen and have learned my lesson from my 1 bad experience. I hope it doesn’t happen again
