In general,yes they do differ and the main differences are because of the culture,mentality and money!This is an interesting thing,we could talk about this for a good while and on these thread is not the wright place i think,but if we will meet someday,remind me your question and i will answer you gladly!

My heart says the same mate but my head keeps asking could GSP comfortably go up to that weight? Even if he did move up to middleweight would he be strong enough in that division? I don’t know, but as pound-for-pound goes GSP is the greatest fighter on the planet.

If you’re going to argue that Fedor is you can’t make any case for him until he leaves Strikeforce or wherever he is and joins the UFC where the real heavyweights are Rayden.

GSPs last 3 opponents all outweighed him (Alves, Hardy and Kos). Fitch too. Though you are right, there are some huge dudes at MW (Okami 220lbs). As for Fedor, I think if he beats Allastair Overeem then he would fix his damaged rep a bit. Would be nice to see him fight in teh UFC, but that aint Ever happening.
