Well, I htink the bait was that none of us are in the loop in terms of the interal machinations of EI which seems to be a law unto itself. This is a point that DB had been making in other threads over the last week or more.

This was the offending statement. Where is the bait in this?

Of course we do, but will it really make a difference? Let's look at the body count thus far. DannyB, DeBest, An Don, UKHeather, all these members banned in a matter of days. I am sure I am missing someone out. What do these people all have in common? Westie's 'ban' or a warning to avoid the boards for a week, was a placatory measure to stop an all out escort and board member revolt, because we would have gone apeshit over the crap he was saying and has been saying for a long time. Of course we are aware, but what can we do?

I was considering asking for a ban every Sunday. I got shitloads of ironing done!

I don't think that was the bait, so to speak, more so the refusal to elaborate on that statement.
I think that is what sent poor Danny into meltdown. Either that or the night he spent with my mom and uncle ray !

I see a lot of mixed opinions on this subject and I understand some of you are confused.

Just to put you in the loop. There had been some rather ambiguous remarks made by Danny and on top of that he had sent myself and Nicole some PM's that were unacceptable. We asked him to stop sending the messages, but he continued and his rants have been apparent on the boards over the past few days.

Personally, by Danny trying to challenge me for a public statement regarding various situations (possibly to try and undermine the management) I refused to give him the satisfaction of an answer, as this was discussed via PM by myself and Nicole. Apart from the 'time to neuter?' comment made by Doozer, he did not have any part in this supposed 'wind up'; he was merely expressing that Danny was crossing the line and I gave him another chance. He continued to push the issue, so I banned him.

I feel the 'bait' was in that Danny was pushing for an infraction to continue the 'controversey'. It backfired on him.

As I have already said, I will reduce Danny's ban after this message to a one week one as I can see that there is no evidence of him returning to push the issue further.

I started this thread its a pity the way things have deteriorated honestly its gone way way over the top now, people are tension filled I'm smiling but theres a natural instinct here to answer everything with a very serious tone & to point out the failings of others around u & press your politically correct views no matter how trivial the subject Its ok to lose an argument hold your hands up if your wrong people get lost in their own self importance & lose touch with reality

Thanks Ex P for your comments, and I am sorry that this has ended up as such.

Dannyboy has started some brilliant threads but of late the tone has definately changed. He is welcome to come back in a week's time and hopefully some time off will give him time to reflect and cool down.
