Yes, I am afraid so. However you should always see a solicitor and never sign anything, they would have to prove that both ladies were there for that reason.

This is a crack pot law that is designed to make us feel so unsafe we dare not work. Its putting us in unnecessary danger. They will never stamp this out.

EDIT- To advertise time and companionship isnt illegal

If you were only answering the door then they can't claim you were working. You should see a solicitor.

If I open the door is cause I expect a CLIENT,not the GARDS. He know why hes coming to see me,as all the clients..I wont say I am not working as an escort... When they come to arrest me , at the Garda Station I wont say anything without a solicitor..Thats other story. With the prooves in the court, they will put me a fine or send me home...Depends!

I am not sure what the immigration situation is. But it would take months to bring a prosecution against you if you pleaded not guilty. The guards want you to plead guilty, it wont cost them as much as a prosecution and they don't have to prove a thing. Never plead guilty, even if you think you are.

Can I suggest that it probably isn't the best course of action discussing a specific case on here. Keep it general by all means, but not specific.

The reality is that alot of the time the Gardai are finding it very hard to get these prosecutions to stick if the girls dont own up
to something so in lots of casies they give warnings and just tell them move on.
Of late though they are beginning to involve immigration alot as they see this as a much safer bet, any girl with a EU passport is fine they cant do anything to her but a girl outside the EU thats here on say a holiday or student visa they dont have to prove
that she is doing anything illegal just prove that she is working which is much easier. No prosecution needed just stamp her
passport when she leaves and cant get back in. Also they are checking how regularly a girl is entering and leaving the country
and if she cant come up with a good reason or explanation that will also be used
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed

I've felt the heat of the law-intimidating. But NEVER make the case against oneself.
(That is their job) each instance of alleged crime must be proven beyond reasonable doubt.

If u read in a Sligo newspaper,in octuber,I think it was, they sent to Romania 2 girls and 1 guy. As far as I know Romania is on EU.
Suppose cause they found 3 in the same apartment.. If I find the page again I ll post it.

Romania is in the EU but its one of the newer members and still hasnt full access to the workplace her this will be introduced over time. Romanians still need a work permit to work in Ireland . Most other countries didnt give carte blanche to the new members workers up until recently ireland did
but now have pulled back a little. It was a reason Ireland became so poular u just had to hop on a plane and u could work away
